One-on-One

What are your favorite places to study, hang out, and relax?
My favorite places to study are at the education library and the union. As far as hanging out I would say I like being around campus and do not have a particular preference although I do like the union and the coffee shops around it.

What clubs or organizations on campus are you involved with?
I am not involved with any organization on campus due to my very busy schedule this semester, but I am a senior desk clerk at the ISR frontdesk.

Why and how did you choose your major?
I have always been interested in education and how our experiences affect the way we learn. In my case, I came to this university knowing I wanted to become a teacher because I love helping children develop the skills they will need to develop into well-rounded individuals.

Describe your most memorable experience at Illinois.
My most memorable experience at Illinois has been getting accepted into the college of education simply because it is a very competitive college and it opened up so many possibilities for my future plans.

What is your advice to prospective students?
My advice to prospective students would be to explore the possibilities and resources that this university has to offer. By doing so, they would be ensuring that they are receiving a great education and the best college experience possible.
